• A predictive model was introduced to describe the dissolution of stably trapped bubbles in corner cavities pipe systems. The most accurate way air-water interface is with a no-slip boundary condition due presence surfactants. correlation between bulk Reynolds number, vertical aspect ratio, Schmidt number and Sherwood found on analysed range. Sh-correlation based numerical simulations, which are validated by experiments. Numerical simulations were executed obtain describes gas transfer liquid phase. Experiments validate numerically obtained numbers. It concluded that surfactants renders be immobile. experimentally demonstrated constant for given geometry. ratio represents cavity depth over diameter cavity. influence system pressure, geometry scale mass rate discussed. Special attention resulting time needed complete bubble. taken quadratic function scale.
